Education on Cost of Values. 

We come across many people who talks about leaving a better society and planet for the future generation. We want to leave a good plant for our children. But how about leaving good children for our plant? 

In recent times there has been quiet a great change in education system which has given liberty to students and limitations to teacher. No doubt there has to be proper education whose propose should not be to just give information and data but giving true knowledge. But how many parents are ready to have a child with better moral value and fewer grades? In this rat race how many are willing to stand out of the line and think out of the box?

Here I mean to explain that by just letting your children go to some activity center or extracurricular classes does not mean to think out of the box and accepting their desire to be different. Most of the parents in today’s time do the same. They let their child do some extra activity but stress on competition in that field too.

What we forget that just by spending on their extra activity or providing them coaching classes (Personal or in well-known institute) does not mean end of our duty as parent. In recent times there has been a great change in lifestyle of people i.e. both parents working, small family and liberal behavior in name of modern thinking. All this has created a generation which has high IQ (Intelligence Quotient) but less EQ (Emotional Quotient).

Due to lack of proper care and guidance from elders and what they generally see in their parent’s behavior children today have become more arrogant to their parents and teachers. May be not all but most of them have become like that. Why is this so?

It’s a general observation in school that teacher are losing their respect which they used to get in olden times. Now the greetings are from throat not from heart. Students hardly mean what they say; it’s just a formality to do. Worst part is that now even that thing is getting less practiced as now students don’t even greet teacher until unavoidable.

The feeling of guilt and shame on doing wrong thing has slowly gone from the heart from children and that may be due to lack of moral teaching in house and subject like moral science. Parents would desire to have a GK quiz master in their house not a son like “Shravan kumar or Shri Ram”. But we forget that what we sow so shall we reap. When we support our child in wrong doing or just ignore and be ignorant towards what they do and how they are in school or in society; we create a “Duryodhan” or its proxy for our own life.

The society needs to teach children that power, money or sources of parents won’t stay. Only their good conduct will make them loved and accepted in this world or else when they would be left alone to survive their misconduct would be reason for their sorrow.

This does not mean only parents but also teacher who just goes to school to teach and give information and comes back home. They too need to consider that teacher’s job is a very respectable job and they not only give knowledge to children’s of people who work in government or who has business in manufacturing but also they also manufacture or mold a ‘Good human being’. Let’s just hope we all can be the creator of better future generation of society for this Planet.
